GREAT MINDS IN STEM NATIONAL CONFERENCE I BOOK SIGNING & PRESENTATION

I was thrilled to be part of this year’s Great Minds in STEM National Convention, taking place in Ft. Worth, TX from Nov. 7 – 9, 2024. I awarded two talented Latina students with the Ocampo Senior STEM Scholarships through the GMIS Scholarship program. Supporting the next generation of female Hispanic STEM leaders is such an honor! As part of this incredible event, I also presented a workshop and hosted a book signing for Conquering the Peak of Success: A Journey of Reaching Life’s Highest Altitudes.

TAMMAC 10th annual Women of Distinction Awards

The Texas Association of Mexican American Chambers of Commerce (TAMACC) celebrated their 10th annual Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 11, 2024 The Women of Distinction Awards Luncheon is a platform created by TAMACC to honor the remarkable contributions of Hispanic women to the economic, political, and social fabric of our communities and the state. This annual event recognizes and celebrates outstanding women who have demonstrated exceptional achievements and leadership. TAMMAC proudly recognized Adriana Ocampo Senior as one of this year’s Women of Distinction Award recipients

2024 u+ EMPOWERING LATINA AWARDS

(Dallas, TX. Oct. 3, 2024) Adriana Ocampo Senior was selected as the 2024 Empowering Latinas Awards from UNITED LATINAS. This award recognizes and celebrates extraordinary Latinas who lead by example, live on purpose, and inspire others to be more and do more.

BOOK SIGNING, WOMEN OF COLOR BUSINESS MIXER

Adriana Ocampo Senior signed her new book, Conquering the Peak of Success: A Journey of Reaching Life’s Highest Altitudes, during the Women of Color Business Mixer on October 1 at the Dallas Regional Chamber. The networking event brought together current and prospective members, local businesses, and corporations to develop professional relationships.

Adriana Ocampo Senior was invited to do a book signing of her new book, Conquering the Peak of Success: A Journey of Reaching Life’s Highest Altitudes, during the VIP reception, prior to the celebration of women in aerospace at the Women Take Flight: Fashion to Fission Luncheon & Awards, hosted by the Frontiers of Flight Museum on October 1, 2024.

This extraordinary event brought together trailblazing women in aerospace who are shaping the future of equitable education, workforce advancement, and groundbreaking innovations.

SEGUNDA CONFERENCIA INTERNACIONAL DE CIENCIA Y TECNOLOGIA APLICADA

(Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. Sept. 27, 2024) – The conference was organized by the Universidad Tecnológica de Nuevo Laredo, where specialists from various countries participated, to shared our knowledge and experiences with students and the general public. The objective of this congress was to share the experiences of specialists on scientific and technological advances, which allow finding solutions to the new economic, social and environmental challenges of humanity and thus being able to build a sustainable future.

It was an honor for me to present the “Educacion STEM: Fortalecimiento de ambientes de aprendizaje con enfoque STEM” to the amazing sixth-grade students of Escuela Primaria Carlos A. Carrillo. During the session, we talked about the power of decision-making and how every girl has the potential to be the next great leader, scientist, or engineer 🌍✨

(College Park, MD. Sept. 14, 2024) Super excited to be part of 4th Annual Global Latinas In Aviation Festival hosted by the College Park Aviation Museum in Maryland. I am very honored to celebrate the launch of Latinas in Aviation Vol. 4, together with other amazing co-authors and trailblazers. LIA is the largest collection of Latinas in Aviation in the world! SOCIETY OF HISPANIC PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS (SHPE) 2024 STAR AWARDS

(August 16, 2024) The Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers announced the 2024 STAR Award Honorees, a recognition to individuals in STEM who are changing lives through their community outreach, work and research.
